Abdi Omar Shurie ✓ Verified

Abdi Omar Shurie is a Kenyan politician representing Balambala Constituency in Garissa County under the Jubilee Party. First elected to the National Assembly in 2017 and re-elected in 2022, he has served continuously across the 12th and 13th Parliaments. In the 13th Parliament he chairs the Public Debt and Privatisation Committee, also sitting on the Appointments and Liaison committees, giving him a hand in overseeing the country's debt management and privatisation policy. In 2024 President William Ruto honoured him with the 1st Class Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS), one of Kenya's top state commendations.
