Ekwee David Ethuro is a Kenyan politician who represented Turkana Central Constituency in the National Assembly from 1998 to 2013, recorded here in the 9th Parliament under NARC. He served as Assistant Minister for Planning and National Development from 1998 to 2002 under President Daniel arap Moi, and after re-election in 2007 acted as Speaker of the House in the 10th Parliament whenever the Speaker and Deputy Speaker were absent. On 28 March 2013 he became the first Speaker of the modern Kenyan Senate. He currently chairs the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
