Martin Nyaga Wambora is a Kenyan politician who served as Member of Parliament for Runyenjes Constituency under the National Rainbow Coalition (NARC) from 2003 to 2007. Before returning to elective office, he chaired the board of the Kenya Airports Authority, a tenure during which the authority won two of the industry's most prestigious awards in 2011. He went on to become the first Governor of Embu County, winning the seat on a The National Alliance (TNA) ticket in the March 2013 gubernatorial election. Wambora made history as the first Kenyan governor to be impeached, and was impeached a second time, but successfully challenged both removals and was overwhelmingly re-elected to a second term as governor in 2017.
