Samuel Gonzi Rai is a Kenyan politician who has represented Kinango constituency in Kwale County in the National Assembly across five non-consecutive terms since 1992. He was first elected that year on a KANU ticket following the death of his predecessor, Ali Bidu, then re-elected in 2002 and 2007 on the Forum for the Restoration of Democracy-People ticket, and again in 2013 under The National Alliance. After losing the seat in 2017, he reclaimed it in the 2022 general election on the Pamoja African Alliance ticket, now serving in the 13th Parliament on the Departmental, Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers, Energy, and Parliamentary Powers and Privileges committees. Throughout his long career his legislative interests have centered on defence, security, and public accounts.
