Wesley Kipchumba Korir is a Kenyan long-distance runner and politician who represented Cherangany constituency in the National Assembly as an independent candidate following his election in the 2013 general election, before losing the seat in 2017. Before entering politics he built an acclaimed athletic career, winning the Boston Marathon in April 2012 with a time of 2 hours 12 minutes 40 seconds, and earlier taking back-to-back victories at the Los Angeles Marathon in 2009 and 2010, the first runner to do so there in eight years. He also finished second at the 2011 Chicago Marathon in a personal-best 2 hours 6 minutes 15 seconds, improving that mark slightly the following year. His single term in Parliament followed one of the most decorated marathon careers among Kenyan athletes of his generation.
