Yusuf Hassan Abdi is a Kenyan politician, diplomat, social activist, and former journalist who has represented Kamukunji constituency in Nairobi County in the National Assembly since first entering Parliament through a by-election in 2011. He was elected in his own right in the 11th Parliament on The National Alliance ticket, then re-elected in the 12th and 13th Parliaments on the Jubilee Party ticket, most recently in the 2022 general election. Before politics he worked for many years with the United Nations. In the 13th Parliament he sits on the Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations, and National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity committees, roles that draw on his earlier diplomatic and humanitarian background.
